Atlantic Re plays a structuring role in managing pooled mechanisms and national facilities of high strategic value.
Through historic and recent mandates, Atlantic Re puts its technical and institutional expertise at the service of sector development and in support of national and regional economic priorities.
Launched in 2025, this mechanism is a national lever designed to support exporters in their international development and to secure their operations in high-potential African markets.
The mechanism will cover up to 7.5 billion MAD (796.9 million USD) in additional exports per year.

The FAIR Aviation Pool has been managed by Atlantic Re since 1989. It holds one of the largest capacities in the Afro-Asian region. Its main objective is to underwrite aviation risks ceded by FAIR Pool members as well as other Afro-Asian markets.
The FAIR Aviation Pool has 27 ceding and retrocession members, with a total capacity of 7,300,000 USD, including 17 from Africa and 10 from Asia.
Many members of this pool benefit from high international ratings awarded by renowned agencies.
The CARC was created in 2005 in Casablanca by the Organisation of African Insurance (OAA), in partnership with UNCTAD and the World Bank, following the recommendations of the OAA Conference on Catastrophic Risk Insurance held in Casablanca in 2004. The CARC is hosted and managed by Atlantic Re, which has been entrusted with its presidency by the OAA.
The Centre's purpose is to conduct and coordinate activities of common interest to develop insurance and reinsurance of catastrophic risks in Africa and to make it an instrument of prevention and protection against such risks. The Centre's main objectives are:
To assist public authorities and insurance stakeholders in Africa in creating catastrophic risk coverage programs.
To increase collective awareness of the need for CAT insurance for sustainable societal development. Promotion of African expertise: To foster the emergence of African centers of competence in key CAT insurance fields (modeling, pricing, regulation, IT).
To facilitate inter-African partnerships through experience sharing and economic and technical cooperation in catastrophic risk management.
To minimize the impact of catastrophes by stimulating research, the adoption of risk reduction measures, and preventive pricing incentives.
An active member of leading organizations, Atlantic Re places sectoral cooperation at the center of its development strategy.
